    In each module, two group projects and a final exam have to be completed. The weighting is 40% for the group work and 60% for the final exam. Both the group work and the final exam are completed from home.

  • What does the study process look like in general?

    At the beginning of your studies you have to complete the module “Seminar on the subject modules” (duration: four weeks). Here you will receive the necessary tools for scientific work, information on group work, how to use the WBS LEARNSPACE 3D® as well as the eCampus. This is followed by the seven specialist modules, each of which lasts eight weeks. The specialist modules impart the relevant management knowledge. In preparation for the scientific work, the module “Seminar on Project Work” is then completed. The focus here is on the structure and methodology of the master’s thesis. This module is concluded with the preliminary concept for the master’s thesis. At the end of the program, the master’s thesis must be completed in the form of a scientific project thesis. Each student is assigned a Master’s thesis supervisor who provides advice and assistance during the elaboration process and also carries out the subsequent evaluation. The deadline for the preparation of the master thesis is 6 months from the date of assignment of the supervisor and approval of the preliminary concept.

The course is aimed at professionals who have completed their first degree and who, after at least two years of practical work experience, would like to gain further qualifications in parallel with their professional activities, with the aim of taking on a management role in IT or in technology-intensive companies. Globalization is accompanied by technological innovations and is changing the world of work immensely. Above all, technology-oriented companies and their managers must meet the demands of the digital working world with up-to-date IT know-how and IT management skills. In addition to current knowledge of business administration, corporate management and strategic IT management, the program also teaches key qualifications, self-management and leadership skills. Upon successful completion, graduates are qualified to take on management tasks and leadership functions in technology-intensive companies.

Overview of the study program

The continuing education program takes place on a part-time basis and can be easily combined with a career and family thanks to a combination of attendance times and e-learning. The program imparts qualified management and decision-making knowledge and promotes leadership skills. In small learning groups and in regular personal exchange with the lecturers, the students can optimally prepare for the examinations Part-time, compact attendance events (Fridays and Saturdays) in a two- to four-week rhythm Working professionals with a completed first degree who would like to further qualify themselves after at least two years of practical work experience; with the aim of taking on a management task or a management function in IT or in technology-intensive companies. The classroom lectures can be easily planned in a two- to four-week rhythm. The lectures take place on Fridays and Saturdays. This makes it easy to combine them with your job and family. The part-time MBA program is of interest to you if you want to prepare yourself specifically for taking on leadership and management tasks. The goal of the program is to prepare you for leadership and management tasks in the IT environment by teaching general management, leadership and strategic information management. Attendance is generally not compulsory for the lectures, but the two seminars and the stay abroad are compulsory. Documents from lectures not attended can be conveniently accessed at any time via the e-learning platform. By attending the lectures, you will increase your social competence, as you will learn how to work in a team and develop assertive strategies during discussions and professional debates. The exchange in the interdisciplinary group of participants also offers interesting insights. The attendance events offer you clearly defined periods of time to take time out of your daily work and family life and to concentrate on your studies. The attendance periods are spread over the lecture semesters 1 to 4. The standard period of study consists of five semesters. Based on our 15 years of experience in continuing education, we know how heavy the workload can be during part-time studies. The majority of students require five semesters to successfully complete the program. Classes are usually held in a two- to four-week cycle, on Fridays and Saturdays. In addition, there is an approximately two-week study abroad period. The program comprises five semesters with a total of 556 teaching units (UE) of 45 minutes each. Upon successful completion, you will receive the internationally recognized academic degree “Master of Business Administration” (MBA). You will acquire 90 ECTS in this degree program. Classroom attendance only takes place in the first to fourth semester of lectures; the fifth semester is reserved for writing your master’s thesis. You can start your studies either in the summer semester (beginning of March) or in the winter semester (middle/end of September). The tuition fees as well as all costs incurred in connection with the studies are fully tax deductible.

  • Consecutive degree programs build directly on the previous bachelor’s degree in terms of content and usually also in terms of time, i.e. they are a continuation of the first degree program.
  • Non-consecutive courses of study do not build directly on the content of a first degree and open up new disciplines or are interdisciplinary in nature.
  • Continuing master’s degree programs require at least two years of work experience after completion of the first degree.

2,780 euros per semester, or 13,900 euros in total. This includes the cost of attending all classroom events, the e-learning units and the supervision provided by the lecturers. Costs for organization and coordination of the excursion are included in the tuition fees, costs for flight, accommodation and meals during the excursion are exclusive.
